Description

Imre Makovecz is a passionate traveler, who has hated moving from place to place all his life. Yet he draws ships, soars to the sky and descends to the bowels of the Earth, and in his dreams, starts off for far off destinations. His drawings and montages are just as organic as his houses. Under his hands they are like clay, he recopies them, draws into them, so that we may enter a hovering, mysterious, spiritual yet distinctly earthy landscape — provided we dare.

Imre Makovecz es un viajero empedernido, pero durante toda su vida detestaba los cambios de lugar. Sin embargo dibuja una nave, sube al las nubes, desciende a las profundidades, en sus sueños inicia largos viajes. Sus dibujos y montajes son tan orgánicos como sus casas. Bajo sus manos cambian de forma como la arcilla, los copia de nuevo, los retoca para que podamos entrar en un mundo secreto, fl otante, etéreo sin embargo muy terrenal, si tenemos el coraje.
