Refurbished Onion House reopened to the public

At Makó, the refurbished Onion House was reopened to the public in an official ceremony. Refurbishment was carried out with support from the Ministry of Human Capacities, using resources of the Imre Makovecz Fund. At the ceremony, speeches were delivered by Member of Parliament and Minister for the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office János Lázár and Makó mayor Éva Erzsébet Farkas.

The event featured musical performances by the Brass and Reed Band of Budapest’s King St. Stephen Conservatory of Music conducted by conductor-director Pál Makovecz who also serves as Board Chairman of the Imre Makovecz Foundation; by the Brass and Reed Band of Makó’s Elementary School of Arts conducted by Árpád Gábor-Nagy; and by the United Concert Brass and Reed Band of the Makó Private School of Music conducted by conductor-director Dr. József Csikota.
