Art historian Miklós Sulyok will deliver his lecture titled “Time and Presence in Imre Makovecz’s Thinking”, originally scheduled for May. The presentation will focus on two key notions of Imre Makovecz’s works: loss of memory and missing the present.
As Miklós Sulyok puts it:
“These concepts are based on the very notions of time and presence. Imre Makovecz spoke about these because of the peculiarities of 20th century modernity. The break of time, the loss of continuity and not feeling at home anywhere are key topics in the architectural and philosophical discussion of modernity. In Imre Makovecz’s organicist philosophical approach, these concepts complement each other. “
