The Thermal Spa in Makó was opened to the public in the summer of 2012. On the square before its main entrance (called Makovecz Square since late 2011), there is a community building that was completed simultaneously to the spa. It the Music Pavilion, a 136 m2 wooden structure with a cupola, a regular venue for concerts thanks to its excellent acoustics. The square around the pavilion was converted into a pedestrian area in 2012 and received new, ornamented paving.
