Dunaszerdahely (Szlovákia), Katolikus templom

A Duna mellett fekvő szlovákiai magyar kisváros 90-es évekbeli rehabilitációja és fejlesztése a Makovecz mellett dolgozó építészek tervei szerint történt. A legjelentősebb beruházás az új templom, amely a környék népmondáira utalva megkövült hullámok közül emelkedik ki.

Dunajska Streda (Dunaszerdahely, Slovakia), Roman Catholic Church

The rehabilitation and development of this small town-located along the Danube in Slovakia and inhabited mostly by ethnic Hungarians-was carried out in the 1990’s according to the plans of architects working alongside Imre Makovecz. The church proved to be the most significant addition to the city. The church is a structure rising out of stone waves, a reference to local folk legends.
