A fachwerkes szerkezet a falut a 150 éves török megszállást követően benépesítő sváb lakosság eredeti hagyományos építésmódjára, a romos kőfal a helyi reneszánsz-kori vármaradványokra utal. A faváz formája a hagyományostól gyökeresen eltér, Makovecz növényi analógiát idéző szerkesztésmódját tükrözi.

The building’s fachwerk structure is a tribute to the traditional constructions used by the Swabian Germans who resettled the area following the end of a 150-year period of occupation by the Ottomans. In a similar gesture, the crumbling stone wall echoes the Renaissance period castle ruins in the area. The form taken by the wooden frame is a departure from the traditional; instead, it is a reflection of Imre Makovecz’s tendency to use plant-like forms in organising architectural structures.
