Sárospatak, Művelődési ház

Az épülettel szemben a Lechner jenő által tervezett tanítóképző U-alakú épülete áll. A művelődési ház szintén U-alakú, a két épület tengelye egybeesik. Az alaprajz sémája: fejrész a nagytermekkel, üres, de gerezdekre tagolt kupolaszerű részekre bontva általános tartózkodásra szolgál, az alsó szárak az apróbb helyiségeket és alárendelt funkciókat foglalják magukba.

Sárospatak, Cultural Centre

The U-shaped School of Education planned by Jenő Lechner stands opposite the cultural centre. The cultural centre is also U-shaped, and the courtyards of both buildings lie along the same axis. To describe the floor plan’s basic design: the large halls form the head, the neutral zone is for everyday use, while the lower stems are where the small rooms and their subordinating functions can be found.
